Relentless Action Game ‘Bloodroots’ Announced for PS4 And Switch

Among the flurry of new announcements during today’s Nindies showcase, a new Samurai Jack-inspired game titled Bloodroots made it’s way into the line up. This bloody action game takes notes from fellow revenge tales, while adding a few twists to the overall formula.

Players will take on the role of Mr. Wolf, a brutal action hero capable of turning ordinary objects within the world of Bloodroots into a deadly, devastating weapon. The platform announcement trailer shows off Bloodroots’ hand-drawn stylish design, as well as the ability to grab objects, such as ladders, and turn them into a brutal method of wiping out your foes.

Indie developers of Bloodroots, Paper Cult, also noted a few key features that players will find in their upcoming title:

  • A world overflowing with makeshift weapons that not only change the way you fight, but how you get around.
  • Improvise the most deadly combos and compete for fame on worldwide leaderboards.
  • Fight your way through a variety of handcrafted levels, from forests to mountaintops.
  • Experience a twisted Western revenge tale with a deranged cast of characters.

Players can expect to hop into the Weird West and take on the sure to be epic revenge tale once the game lands on the PS4, PC and Switch this coming summer.
