Remedy Registers Trademark for “Alan Wake’s Return”

Seems like a sequel to the beloved horror game Alan Wake is getting closer and closer to being official, Remedy just registered a trademark for “Alan Wake’s Return” which pretty much confirms that a sequel is underway and even though there is no official announcement or release date for that matter, we suspect that remedy might make an announcement in the coming months regarding the matter.

The first Alan Wake game was a phenomenal game, adding in episodic elements into the game, making it feel like you were playing a horror TV show like Supernatural, it was a fantastic feeling for the time.

Here is a trailer of the first original game for those of you who haven’t played the game yet:

When I first played the game, I was awed by it’s presentation and setting, the gameplay was pretty solid as well, going out into the woods, trying to escape from the shadows with your trusty gun, your deadly flares, and your big flashlight was a blast, even though the game had a bit of a learning curve in terms of how to defeat the enemies, it had an overall very intuitive combat system, the atmosphere really got me at the edge of my seat as I was going through the game, and of course there is the memorable music stage scene which I won’t spoil for those who haven’t played the game yet.

I can’t wait for a new sequel as the first game still left me wanting for more, even with the 2 expansions that came in later, I still wanted more and it looks like we will be getting more of it, only time will tell.
