Capcom has announced that sales for the Resident Evil 4 remake have surpassed nine million units worldwide. The game was last reported to have surpassed eight million units back in October 2024. The game achieved this in less than two years of its launch in March 2023. It is now among Capcom’s top ten best selling games of all time, according to business development manager Alex Aniel. According to Aniel, the game is now “by far” the series’ fastest-selling installment to date. The Resident Evil 4 remake launched on March 24, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC world wide. It is also available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Story
6 years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City.
Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States.
With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is sent to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter.
He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers.
And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror.
