More rumors about Resident Evil 8 surfaced online today, the new information does not come, from the usual insider and leaker, AestheticGamer, but a news outlet called BioHazard Declassified. The outlet, has been consistently reporting all the rumors of the alleged Resident Evil 8, is possible that an insider had confirmed some of their claims.

Parts of the game are played as a Mountain Resident called Emily, a woman in her late 20s, who aids Ethan. She is looking for her father. Emily grew up in the village and will assist Ethan and later work with him to find her father and escape.
You have a flashlight and the game is often pretty dark, forcing you to use it, akin to many other games that are in the same genre. The flashlight can run out of batteries, but slowly recharges by itself over time.
Aside from the titular ‘Villiage’ (Stylised as VIIIAGE), Resident Evil 8 is set to explore other locations such as Castles, Caves, and Forests. It will have a larger focus on “Outdoor” locations that the rest of the series.
I'm like 99% sure now RE8 is at the PS5 reveal event. As others noticed, all the RE games went on sale yesterday, & RE7 in particular went on the deepest discount it's EVER had by a long shot, around the same time the PS5 reveal event was supposed to happen yesterday. So yeah.

On a Twitter thread AesthethicGamer explains that a version of Resident Evil 8 was being developed by Capcom’s Core RE team back in 2016. He explains that other Resident Evil projects needed more resources and ever since, was inevitably scrapped.
A new version of Resident Evil 8 is now on development, but it has less than a year according to Dusk Golem. It seems that the leaker doesn’t have more information about RE8, he says “Don’t be surprised if I don’t respond to specific question”
