According to prominent leaker Dusk Golem, Capcom’s next Resident Evil title or Resident Evil 9, will be revealed “pretty soon” and will launch next year, possibly January. The leaker also claims that Resident Evil 9 has so far been the Resident Evil title that has been in development for the longest time. They Reiterated that the title is being developed on Dragon’s Dogma 2’s engine with open world technology. He also reiterates that several Resident Evil games were greenlit for development back in January 2023 and five games are currently in development. It’s worth noting that these are all unconfirmed claims and should be taken with a grain of salt. The next Resident Evil game has yet to be announced.
I have good news/rumors to deliver on Resident Evil 9. The possible delay I had heard murmurs about can be pushed aside. RE9 should be revealed pretty soon & release next year. If what I heard previously holds true, should be in January. It'll have had about 7 years in dev.
