Resident Evil 9 rumors have seemingly surfaced online, via the Resident Evil focused website EvilHazard. According to the rumors, the game is titled “ApocaIXpse” similar to its predecessor Resident Evil VILLAGE, which combines its name with roman numerals. It’s claimed to be single player only with no co-op. The game’s story will feature Chris Redfield after the events of Resident Evil Village as he heads towards the BSAA in Europe. Claire Redfield will also make a brief appearance with Jill Valentine making a return to play a role similar to Ada Wong in Resident Evil 4. However, Leon and Ada will not be making an appearance. The game will also feature new “mythical” enemies alongside zombies who make a partial return. Lastly, the game has reportedly been in development for two years, with an official reveal claimed to be coming around October or November. None of these details have officially been confirmed by Capcom.
