Resident Evil Re: Verse Has Been Delayed

Capcom announced today that Resident Evil Re: Verse will no longer launch alongside Resident Evil Village.

As spotted by Eurogamer, Resident Evil Re:Verse’s official website has been updated to reflect a new launch window for the multiplayer game. “Re:Verse will launch Summer 2021,” reads the new description near the bottom of the main home page, confirming that Re:Verse has been delayed.

Resident Evil Re:Verse was originally planned to be available with Resident Evil Village next month, but apparently the multiplayer game will release at least one month post Village’s launch. The game will continue being free for everyone who purchases Village.

Resident Evil Re:Verse is an upcoming PVP multiplayer game starring protagonist and enemies from several Resident Evil games. Players start as a human character, the options include Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine against Jack Baker and Albert Wesker. Players will need to survive and collect every designated item to win the game.

Capcom released an open beta trailer for the multiplayer game, however, the test proved that the game was not ready for a worldwide test and the developer was forced to suspend the demo shortly after launch. A second beta test was available earlier this month, Capcom managed to fix the matchmaking issues, but the multiplayer game was inevitably delayed.

In Resident Evil Re:Verse you can test your skills against other players in four to six-person survival horror revenge matches. Play as beloved characters from the Resident Evil series and turn the tides of battle with powerful bioweapons.
Take part in 5-minute Deathmatches, where the player with the most points wins! Use the weapons and items you find to take down even more powerful enemies!

When your character is taken out, their body transforms into a powerful bioweapon that can be used against other players. Pick up multiple Virus Capsules to transform into even stronger bioweapons. Getting revenge with a bioweapon is also a great chance for more points!
