According to a now-deleted Resident Evil Village listing on the Humble Bundle, the base version of the game will feature Resident Evil Re: Verse, potentially confirming a multiplayer mode.
“Experience survival horror like never before in the eighth major installment in the storied Resident Evil franchise – Resident Evil Village. Heighten all the pulse-pounding action with the addition of the Trauma Pack and Resident Evil Re:Verse.
The Humble Bundle listing also gave more details about the Deluxe Version of the game:
“The Trauma Pack includes memorabilia such as the Samurai Edge weapon, the Mr. Everywhere accessory, a screen filter, special safe room background music, and many more items to amplify your Resident Evil Village experience.
“Details of the operational period for Resident Evil Re:Verse, including the commencement of availability and any potential announcements relating to the end of service, can be found on the official website.”
As reported by Video Games Chronicles, Capcom recently announced a closed beta for an unannounced game set in the Resident Evil universe. Interestingly, the outlet found that Steam updated the tags of the highly-anticipated game to include the Multiplayer tag.
Capcom has not confirmed that Resident Evil Village will feature an online multiplayer, perhaps the feature will arrive as post-launch content, the developer may also still be deciding if the game will launch for old-gen consoles as the latest statement about the possibility expressed doubts.
Resident Evil Village is set years after the horrifying events in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again.
