As apart of the Electronic Arts’ EA Play event during the week of E3 2019, fans received a modest look at the upcoming Star Wars title form Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game looks great and seems to be a true single player action-adventure fans have been begging for. However, one – albeit, small – detail bugged some of the most diehard fans of the cinema – the color of the lightsaber’s core.
In an interview with Game Informer, the game’s director Stig Asmussen cleared the air regarding the lightsaber and informed fans that necessary adjustments have been made. The backlash came when fans noticed during the gameplay footage that protagonist Cal Kestis’ lightsaber was a full blue color, when the film portrays the blue lightsaber with a vibrant white core color.
While a minute, the dedicated Star Wars fan base was quick to call out the mistake. Since the gameplay reveal, it’s been confirmed that the team behind the game has adjusted the color of the weapon, as well as the shape of the lightsaber.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 15, 2019.
