Rocket League goes underwater in free AquaDome update

The free AquaDome DLC, which arrives in October, introduces a new underwater arena set within a glass dome, allowing players to look out at the sharks and jellyfish swimming about while racking up the goals.

The new arena is inspired by the seven seas, the various creatures that call it home, and various machines that humans use to study both the underwater environment and its habitats.

Along with this new arena is the announcement of two new paid cards, which are called Proteus and Triton. They will cost $2 each and will launch along with the AquaDome arena next month.

Rocket League is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

“Psyonix also announced today that Rocket League has now reached 21 million players, up from 20 million. However, sales are nowhere near that mark, standing at around 7 million by the developer’s latest count.

In other news about Rocket League, Psyonix said earlier this week that it isconsidering releasing a PS4 Pro patch for the game, though nothing has been decided at this stage.

Rocket League’s latest update came earlier this month, introducing the over-the-top Rumble mode, which stirs things up by introducing a series of power-ups.”
