Rockstar Games is looking to hire some artist to improve facial animations for their “Next-Generation” projects, Gear Nuke reports that they are currently recruiting artists in the areas of Technical Face Developer at Rockstar New York, and Senior Technical Artist at Rockstar Toronto.
The description lists focus on Animation and Face Motion Capture “to help research and develop new technology for future titles.” check them down below:
The job description cites “creation of new approaches to animation retargeting, facial animation tracking/rigging, secondary motion simulation and character deformation,” and “development of new approaches and workflows to facial tracking, facial animation, facial recognition, improving tools/pipelines.”
Rockstar Games is also working on improving their MoCap tools to “create and build upon the next generation of MoCap tools and pipeline.” It is clear from these job listings that they want to take the animation quality even further in their future games.
Rockstar India is reportedly also looking for some talent with several job openings posted two weeks ago to “create next-generation worlds for some exciting upcoming projects!”
Share with us in the comment section below what you think will be the first Next Generation title to be released by Rockstar Games, I would guess a Grand Theft Auto title is next, as GTA V is already a 4 year old title. If it’s a Grand Theft Auto title which city would you think the events would take place? I definitely would love to see Vice City will all the flashy neon, hot sun, beaches and fast cars in glorious 4k, but we can only guess for now as Rockstar Games is known for not giving many information about GTA titles when they’re in development, but keep it tuned to Gaming Instincts as we’ll keep you updated with the latest from Rockstar Games.
