Romance oif the Three Kingdoms XIV Producer has a lot to say about the future of next-gen gaming according to Twinfinite.
He believes that the poweerful hardware will bring in a new age of artificial intelligence, which is crucial in strategy games. He could also see epople using AI to collect and use gameplay data from the players themselves.
“These are my personal thoughts on what might happen. AI will definitely feel a lot more like it reacts realistically. I think we’ll experience that kind of gameplay.
The second one, with this game we’re actually collecting game data. It’s a bit of a “big data” aspect. I think we’ll be able to collect more data in real-time, and I believe this will simultaneously improve the AI systems as well.
I think those aspects will definitely benefit this series as well.”
Well I suppose the use of data to improve your games is always important, how else do they figure out how to balance characters in Overwatch or Rainbow Six, well no matter, hopefully we can see the AI in action when the next-generation of consoles releases.
