Since CD Projekt Red showed off new footage of Cyberpunk 2077 during Microsoft’s E3 conference just a couple of weeks ago, fans have been learning about tons of new details within the game. Most recently, we’ve learned that Cyberpunk’s romance options will be much deeper and offer more unique plot lines than Projekt Red’s The Witcher series.
The developer gave a tidbit of information regarding what to expect in terms of romance in Cyberpunk 2077, responding on the game’s subreddit page to user magired1234 who asked about the game’s romance options.
“You can think that it’s going to be similar to how Witcher 3 was – there were whole plot lines regarding character and if that NPCs were treated well and interested in Geralt, something was happening.” – CDPR Designer Pawel Sasko on Cyberpunk 2077 Romance Options
Sasko continued, “And of course players will have way more options then only heterosexual, as it was in the Witcher 3 (as Geralt was a defined character that was only interested in females)…Here you can define what type of interactions your character prefers and have a relationship with that NPC/NPCs.”
So it seems as though players will have plenty of options if you’re looking for that romantic plot line added to the narrative. It’s not too surprising that CDPR would include romantic options in their next IP, but the amount of depth within the feature is exciting.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on April 16, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
