Rovio Entertainment Appoints Former Nintendo’s P.R. Executive

Former leader of P.R. Product Strategist at Nintendo of Europe Jon Howard has signed a new deal with Rovio Entertainment, known for mobile hit Angry Birds, Jon recently worked with FlareGames as a Head of P.R. and Influencer Relations.

Howard will bring Rovio Entertainment vast experience in his new role as Head of Communications & P.R. to drive the company’s external communications roadmap during this landmark year.

Jon reports to Rovio’s CMO Ville Heijari and is currently in the final round of recruiting for a Communications Specialist role to support both internal and external comms activities.

“It’s set to be a very active year and we’ve a lot of stories to tell, not least around the mega milestone that is the Angry Birds 10th anniversary,” says Ville Heijari. “The challenge for us is to bring everything together under one narrative, which is why we’re delighted to welcome Jon to Rovio. His deep experience in setting global PR strategy and working with AAA brands is an invaluable asset, as is his thought-leadership and track record in areas such as influencer marketing.”
