During CES 2021, NVIDIA announced its new RTX series of mobile GPU. The impressive performance of the GPU is allegedly 30% faster than the recently released PlayStation 5.
It’s important to add some context to the claims of NVIDIA who clearly took a jab against the console market and the AMD Zen 2 architecture in which they are designed.
The 3060-powered laptops are perhaps the best way to play on the go, several laptops from different manufacturers have already been announced, however, the retail price of the impressive machines will only start at $999. One of the most eye-catching laptops revealed was the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE, which boasts the new Intel Processor running at 35-watts.
NVIDIA certainly reached its goal to put the 3060 on the wishlist of gaming enthusiasts but the compromises that a gaming laptop represents might still deter players who are looking forwards to the best performance for the buck.
NVIDIA also announced the mobile version of the 3070 and 3080. Gaming laptops equipped with the amazing GPU can reach higher resolutions and refresh rates never before seen on mobile devices. Companies like Alienware, Lenovo, Asus, and Razer presented their new devices designed with the support of NVIDIA, all the RTX equipped devices can reach up to 240Hz refresh rates.
All NVIDIA RTX equipped laptops will also boast NVIDIA’s Ampere and DLSS support, this will offer better ray tracing and superior upscaling on supported software. Here are the key details via TechRadar:
