Ruined King: A League Of Legends Story Releases Gameplay Trailer

Riot Forge released a trailer for Ruined King: A League Of Legends Story, providing a first look at combat. The first indie game from Riot Forge, Ruined King will give players a new perspective of Runeterra in this single-player, turned-based RPG. The player will take control of iconic League of Legends characters, including Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke, as they explore the streets and alleys of Bilgewater and the mirky dungeons of the Shadow Isles.  Combat is relegated to turn-based mechanics. However, playable characters will have distinct abilities they can use either to initiate combat or to solve puzzles within the dungeons. Each player has two of these abilities, called Dungeon Skills, which they can not only begin combat with, but with which they can interact with creatures and the environment in specific instances. The turn-based tactics utilize the host of characters available as party members. Heroes will be able to combine abilities for devastating combination attacks, adding to the already dense lore of Runeterra. Turn order lists, health, and mana are all making an appearance here, as well as an overcharge bar. Individual heroes can be leveled and upgraded, granting them new powers and stat buffs.Using the lore of League of Legends as its oyster, Ruined King reallocates the bevy of material at its disposal. Weapons, potions, and armor have all been pulled from the League of Legends history to be put to good use here. A variety of items and weapons will be available for the player to purchase and gear up their heroes. Purchased or found items can be modified through Enchanting, Alchemy, and Cooking. There will be many recreational activities available to the player in Bilgewater, when they aren’t adventuring. The bounty board, fishing, tracking legendary beasts, and the battle arena all will add variety to the dungeon crawl. Ruined King: A League Of Legends Story is coming in 2021. Gaming Instincts is dedicated to bringing its readers all the latest and greatest news, reviews, guides, and updates for all their favorite titles and more.
