Rumor: Final Fantasy VII Remake Playable Demo At E3; PS4 Shortly After

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is easily one of the most anticipated releases still slated to hit the PS4 during the current generation. While news regarding the apparent episodic remake slowed way down over the course of the few years after its initial announcement, the last few weeks have given fans a sigh of relief.

First, a new State of Play episode from Sony gave fans a fresh trailer showing off various cinematics and gameplay footage to confirm the game is still very much making progress. And now, a second rumor (though from an unreliable source on Reddit claiming to be an industry insider) teases fans with a flurry of exciting details.

The leak suggests that fans will receive playable demo during this year’s Square Enix E3 conference. The leak then went on to say that a demo will show up on PS4 consoles shortly after. With Square Enix teasing more information to come in June at the end of the most recent teaser trailer, we’re sure to learn more on the game soon.

There was also some news on the release of the game, claiming that the episodic style release is still in play (which has already been confirmed by the Square Enix), but instead of three as was previously stated, the leak suggests the game will be divided into only two parts, both costing full price.

While this is an incredibly unconfirmed source, we have received unannounced details about games from sources such as these in the past before. Nevertheless, take this rumor with a massive grain of salt until further notice.
