Recently Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon teased fans with the first official look at the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character, Nightwolf. The MK veteran fighter showed a bit of his spiritual flare and trademark features in the teaser clip, leaving fans wanting more from the next fighter pass character.
While the release date has yet to be officially revealed for Nightwolf, it seems a recent leak may point towards when we’ll be able to get our hands on the new fighter. A ResetEra user by the name of Scotia recently shared an image of the Nintendo’s website which revealed a release date for the character. The leak showed that owners of the game’s Kombat Pack will be able to get their hands on Nightwolf starting on August 13, 2019.
As was the case for the first character DLC Shang Tsung, Kombat Pack owners received the new character one week prior to the official release date. So if the August 13 release date would cater to Kombat Pack owners only, an August 20, 2019 release seems likely for anyone who wishes to purchase Nightwolf outside of the Kombat Pack.
While still unconfirmed by NetherRealm Studios, take this leak lightly. However, being that this information is displayed on Nintendo’s official website, it seems rather likely this is when players will see Nightwolf.
Other characters expected to release for the Kombat Pack include Sindel and Spawn with other rumors pointing towards Terminator, Ash Williams and Joker.
Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
