Some eagle-eyed scouts seem to have uncovered an Assassin’s Creed related easter egg in The Division 2 with what appears to point towards the next entry in the AC series. Within The Division 2 appears a poster of what seems to be an assassin holding a spherical object that closely resembles an Apple of Eden. Along with the in-game poster also has a title “Valhalla” across the top.
To go along with this rumor is Kotaku’s Jason Schreier confirming that two inside sources who have spoken with the website have confirmed that not only will the next Assassin’s Creed title – codenamed “Kingdom” – release in 2020 with what seems to tie-in with the release of next gen consoles, but will also indeed feature vikings.
You can check out an interesting video of the easter egg here.
So far, this is all just a rumor but all of the fingers seem to be pointing towards the next entry in the series shipping us over to a Nordic conquest. Stay tuned for any more updates on what the next Assassin’s Creed title could be.
