While earlier today Hideo Kojima and his team hyped us by announcing a new trailer for Death Stranding on Wednesday, now a Spanish source claims that shortly after the arrival of new details for Death Stranding, Naughty Dog will premiere a new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2, unveiling the release date for the game which is set for Fall 2019.
According to GameReactor and its source who is close to Sony, the same thing that’s happening for Death Stranding will be soon repeat for The Last of Us Part 2, as the launch date for the long-awaiting sequel to Ellie and Joel’s journey will find its release date until the end of this week. As the leak offers, it will come in Fall 2019 for PS4 and then sometime in 2020 the game will launch for PS5.
While Death Stranding’s reveal will take place on Wednesday, it’s still remains unknown that whether Naughty Dog will team up with Kojima at one stream to show-off their games together or the streams will be premiered separately.
For now, you better just wait for Death Stranding trailer and take rumors on The Last of Us Part 2 with a grain of salt, but don’t lose your hopes to see a new thing from Naughty Dog, as the studio has finished all motion-capturing tasks previously and recently was looking for new talents to hire and make things right for the last steps of the development process.
Update: A user called Nibel at Twitter has shared the same thing about The Last of Us Part 2 and Jason Schreier, one of the most reliable journalists on video game industry, liked it, which seems to be a silent confirmation for the rumor.
