Rumor: Xbox Live API SDK Leak Provides Outlook on Upcoming Xbox One Exclusive Games

An Xbox Live API SDK leak could give fans an early outlook on what’s next after titles like Ori: Will of the Wisps, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3. ResetEra user Klobrille revealed that he still had access to an internal system where project entries are stored.

Head of Xbox division Phil Spencer stated multiple times before that the company would increase investment in First Party Titles, though it was too early to announce the games just yet.

The user Klobrille stated:

“Oh wow. Was awake the whole night for this lol. I see access to some login entry database tables via the Xbox Live API SDK is still possible. That’s insane.

Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 Arena Betas have a lot of entries – suggests these are coming soon. There is so much more but … I don’t want to risk myself.”

The user at first didn’t seem inclined to share that Xbox Live API information publicly, but he ultimately decided to do it under the guise of some kind of wishlist.

The wishlist that he shared publicly was:

“I would love to revisit Albion. Project name could be Wisdom. An UK Studio should do it.

I would love to play around with Ms. Dark again. The Coalition should definitely help if it’s a 3rd person game. I mean … Not them alone obviously.

I would also love to play the Crackdown 3 campaign in 4-player coop.

I would love playing Forza with the rising sun on the Horizon.

I would love to play AoE4 soon … But it‘s probably super early.

I would love to have a really high player-count (connections per session) for Xbox biggest franchise.

Oh and I think I‘m sure Phil likes Mechs.

I doubt I get anything for Conker, Banjo or Crimson Skies in the foreseeable future.

Make out of that what you want. I don’t know what is just a prototype etc.”

In his statement, we could guess that a Fable related project codenamed Wisdom should be in development at Studio Gobo’s Brighton-based Electric Square studio, which has been confirmed to be working on something for Microsoft.

But of course, this isn’t the first time Klobrille has managed to get information out of the Xbox Live API SDK. He did the same before the E3 2016 and basically his predictions became true, which lends credibility to this leak as well, though this should still be considered a rumor. Also, we can’t know for sure which one of these projects could be canceled or repurposed before they’re even officially announced.
