This summer, the sequel for Rune series will be arriving 19 years after the original game launched back in 2000. Human Head Studios has taken the helm for the development of Rune 2 which seems to have lots of challenging moments, according to the new gameplay trailer of the game.
In Rune 2, players will take the role of a character who has been chosen to save Midgard from the threats that are generated by Loki, the main antagonist of the game. With a powerful weapon that Loki owns, he’s able to restart the time in Midgard and by each start a new age begins in the lands of Norse with new enemies and threats in it.
During the new gameplay demo, we take a brief look at combats of the game through various locations and against different types of enemies. You will be able to play the game on your own or with your friends through your journey in multiple ages to find Loki and stop him from destroying Midgard. Here you can check out the new trailer:
Despite having lots of locations to explore and fight in, the trailer revealed that Rune 2 might lack in featuring smooth and realistic animations. However, we hope to get a polished game from Human Head Studios at launch.
Rune 2 will be available in this Summer for PC via Epic Games Store.
