Today it was announced by Gambitious Digital Entertainment that it will publish the independent developer ThirtyThree, its side-scrolling action platformer RunGunJumpGun next month on Windows PC and Mac. The game is set in a warped space-opera universe, and it features a 2D retro automatic runner revolving around one very big, gravity-defying gun with two-button controls: one to fly through the air and the other to blast forward through obstacles and death traps.
Check out the announcement trailer of RunGunJumpGun, featuring some gameplay footage along with some reviews:
“This single-hand control scheme also makes it more accessible to users with specific disabilities. A breakneck pace and speedy respawns keep players moving every second in a mad dash to survive. The action never stops.
Bursting off the screen with pulsing neon visuals and a hyperkinetic soundtrack,RunGunJumpGun features over 120 meticulous levels of merciless mayhem across three unique worlds, each with their own distinct challenges that demand quick thinking and twitch reflexes to master. There are also loads of shiny pickups to strive for and a globally ranked marathon mode for fearless players who want the ultimate skill-driven thrill.
Also of note: El Huervo, the acclaimed artist behind the cover art of Hotline Miami, masterminded the key art for RunGunJumpGun.
RunGunJumpGun will arrive on Windows PC and Mac on Aug. 31, launching via Steam, Green Man Gaming and the Mac App Store.
