Rust
is most known for being a hardcore, ruthless survival experience in which players fight against other players for the necessary provisions to survive a harsh dystopian world. However, the development team has designed a Softcore mode, for those who want to experience the game in a more casual mode.
Introducing Softcore mode – a new game mode in Rust, aimed at more casual players. Don’t worry, the majority of our servers will still be regular vanilla Rust (hardcore). During this first pass, you players will find the following changes in the 10 new servers.
Facepunch affirms that the goal of the new update is to make the game more approachable for the casual player, there is also the addition of the Marketplace to the Bandit Camp and Outpost monuments. This allows players to order items from vending machines and have them remotely delivered via drones.
Items delivered by drones will only be accessible via an in-game payment fee of 20 scraps. Players will need to wait to receive the items which will take up to five minutes. Items delivered can only be claimed within 10 minutes.
The development team of Rust also affirmed that drones are invincible, this will make trading safer and encourage players to do more transactions of items.
