Almost 10 years after the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, a new title for the series still lingering in the shadows, regarding our little knowledge of the game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is unofficially set to release in 2021 and thanks to a new interview with developers behind the game by a YouTuber, we get new details on this upcoming survival first person game.
During this interview which is spoken in Russian, GSC GameWorld, the development team behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, has answered some questions about the game’s features and modes while it seems it’s still in the early stage of development. First off, the next title in the series will be coming to PC and there are no plans for VR support on the final production, despite featuring a super realistic graphics.
GSC GameWorld is eagerly trying to build one of the greatest titles of the recent years in terms of creating a haunting atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic world that drown player deeply in itself in the first place. The developer also pointed out that three launched titles of the series so far are the main sources and inspirations to cultivate S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
Finally, in addition to confirming multiplayer modes for the game, GSC indicated that no Battle Royale mode will be available in the upcoming shooter game, despite its crazy popularity. Also, the team has announced that modding tools will be back to the series in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and they are trying to provide it for players and creators right after the launch.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be coming to PC in an unknown year, which some say will be 2021.
