The US Entertainment Software Ratings Board has revealed information of an upcoming Saints Row: The Third Remastered, according to their website the game will be released for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
The ESRB also gives an overview of the game in their website:
This is an open-world action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a criminal syndicate known as the Saints. As players attempt to take over a fictional city and exact revenge on a rival gang, they engage in driving and combat missions to progress the storyline. Players use machine guns, shotguns, swords, rocket launchers, and grenades to kill rival gang members.
Players can also attack pedestrians, and in one mission, players shoot at police and civilians to create chaos in a rival gang’s territory. One scene prompts players to run over a certain number of pedestrians within a given time; another sequence allows players to dispatch enemies by putting grenades in their mouths. Players can also use chainsaws to hack at enemies, resulting in small chunks of flesh and large splatters of blood. Damage from certain guns can result in decapitation.
Saints Row: The Third originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and as the ESRB points, the game will conserve all the mayhem and violence that Volition, currently named Deep Silver, envisioned for the GTA inspired game. Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package released for the Nintendo Switch on May 10, 2019- The publisher for the remaster, Koch Media, has not released an official announcement or statement about the ESRB leak, but an announcement will surely take place in the following days.
Here is an overview of the game via Deep Silver:
Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobble head dolls all available at a store near you. The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city, playing out the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen.
