It was announced by Playsim and Amanita Design, that the Samorost series is now available on Playism. Samorost 3 is an exploration adventure and puzzle game from the award-winning creators of Machinarium and Botanicula. It is Amanita Design’s most ambitious experience to date and a loose continuation of the hit indie games Samorost and Samorost 2.
Check out the Playsim trailer of Samorost 3, featuring some gameplay footage:
“Samorost 3 follows a curious space gnome who uses the powers of a magic flute to travel across the cosmos in search of its mysterious origins. Visit nine unique and alien worlds teeming with colorful challenges, creatures and surprises to discover, brought to life with beautiful artwork, sound and music.
Samorost has evolved over its three entries to the series, with the third installment making a jump to being a fuller game, content-wise. Perhaps this is to be expected given that Machinarium and Botanicula appeared after Samorost 2.

Samorost 3 is a game I can confidently recommend as representative of Amanita Design games, with the unearthly stunning visuals and animation we have come to know and love. Samorost has evolved over its three entries to the series, with the third installment making a jump to being a fuller game, content-wise. Perhaps this is to be expected given that Machinarium and Botanicula appeared after Samorost 2.
With areas larger than we have seen in the previous games, the puzzles can be tough to solve. Few can be solved on a single screen, for example. But once you understand this investigating each area in search of clues to piece together becomes quite entertaining. Of course, you will probably get stuck in certain parts.
The only requirement for seeing the hint is fitting together a simple pattern; no shooting mini-game like in Machinarium. I would prefer it if the game let you call up a hint you’ve already seen once though. Sometimes it is hard to keep everything in mind, and I found myself taking down notes on paper during my playthrough.
Every scene in the game has stunning backgrounds and art that leave me breathless. When you take a screenshot in anywhere in the game, it becomes your own special wallpaper from that instant.”
