Earlier this week Sega began teasing a new AAA game announcement slated for reveal during this year’s Gamescom event. Right on cue, Sega and developer Amplitude Studios announced the upcoming turn-based strategy PC game, Humankind, along with an announcement trailer with some revealing gameplay footage.
Check out the new trailer from the announcement below:
The game’s story itself is an interesting concept that requires the player to rewrite the history and culture of humankind. Those familiar with the strategic requirement behind creating your own civilization found in other strategy titles should feel right at home with what Humankind will bring to the table in terms of gameplay.
However, Humankind won’t simply be a copy of other strategy titles and is sure to invoke some interest with the idea of creating your own unique civilization as you experience the different eras throughout world history.
Check out the key features for Humankind below:
Humankind is currently only set for a release on PC. While there’s no officially release date confirmed, it is expected to launch sometime in 2020.
