Sega has officially revealed when retro gamer fans can get their hands on their mini console, the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Along with the September release date, Sega has also revealed the first 10 games (of the 40 total) that will be included in the western versions of the console.
Check out the official list of the first 10 games outside of Japan below:
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Ecco the Dolphin
- Castlevania: Bloodlines
- Space Harrier II
- Shining Force
- Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
- ToeJam & Earl
- Comix Zone
- Altered Beast
- Gunstar Heroes
While most of the games announced so far are pretty obvious titles to include in such a package, there are still plenty of classics left off the list we can expect to make their way over to the full line up.
The Sega Mini will come in two different packages, a one controller standard package ($60) and slightly more expensive two controller package ($80). The console will use an HDMI video out and powered via USB. All necessary cables will come included in either package.
Just for reference, below is the list of the first 10 titles headed over to the Japanese version of the console:
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- Puyo Puyo Tsu
- Shining Force
- Vampire Killer
- Wrestleball
- Gunstar Heroes
- Comix Zone
- Rent A Hero
- Space Harrier II
- Madou Monogatari I
The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Mini is scheduled to release on September 19, 2019 worldwide.
