According to a recent report from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, SEGA is working on multiple upcoming titles as part of its “Super Game” initiative which was recently revealed during The Game Awards. According to Henderson, the publisher is working on a Sakura Wars game, a new installment in the Panzer Dragoon, and surprisingly, a Neon Genesis Evangelion game. According to the report, all three games are currently in early stages of development. The latest installment in the Panzer Dragoon series, Panzer Dragoon Orta, launched back in December 19, 2002 for the original Xbox, and the latest Sakura Wars is the Sakura wars reboot which first launched back in December 12, 2019 for PlayStation 4. However, its worth noting that SEGA has never developed a title based on the Evangelion series. The publisher has yet to confirm any of these claims.
During The Game Awards, Sega released a new trailer announcing that it is rebooting several of its classic and beloved titles including Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Shinobi, and Crazy Taxi. The trailer shows gameplay of each remake including their remade models and graphics. Additionally, the trailer confirms more remakes will follow.
