Sega Teases New Project Diva Trailer

Sega recently rolled out a brand new trailer of the next video game outing for the company’s marquee Vocaloid pop idol. This guided look into Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X shows off some of what you can expect to see in the final release. Like the first in the series, Project Diva X is a music rhythm game in which the player follows a series of button prompts in sync with the music while an in-engine performance featuring one of the few Vocaloids plays out in the background.

The new big feature of Project Diva X is the Live Quest mode where Hatsune can take on certain tasks or challenges via the bulletin board in the Diva Room. The quests reside in the areas dubbed “Beauty,” “Chaos,” “Cool,” “Cute,” and “Neutral.” Equipping your Vocaloid with performance enhancing modules and accessories, purchased with Live Points, to complement the area can potentially give the advantage of bigger score multipliers. They can also help prevent you from failing out of a song This time around Sega is boasting that this new entry will feature over 300 modules for customization.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X is still set for release on the 24th of March for the PS Vita in Japan, with a PS4 version seeing release sometime during the third fiscal quarter of this year. There are no known plans to bring this title across the pond for a North American or European launch as of yet.
