Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Reached 2 Million Units Sales

From Software’s long awaited Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice which at first was assumed to be a sequel for Tenchu series, finally dropped on storefronts last month and beyond the hilarious review that it got from the media, the game has also done a great job in term of sales. Miyazaki’s brand new IP has been welcomed greatly from the fans, as it’s sold more than 2 million units on all platforms worldwide in just 10 days, according to Activision.

During a press release held by publisher of the game, it’s been revealed that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has reached 1.1 billion minutes watched time on Twitch, in its first week of release. Michelle Fonseca from Activision praised the game by saying that “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has brought something very special and unique to Activision’s portfolio of games.” He also claimed that From Software’s new title was one of the “incredible game launches of 2019 thus far.” Fonseca also mentioned to great sales on PC and the community’s continuously support from the game. “It has been gratifying to see the enjoyment from fans when they overcome each challenge.” he said.

To those who haven’t played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice yet, I can surely said it won’t disappoint you if you are a fan of Bloodborne or Dark Souls trilogy. Although the game has lost the fully open-world creation of the previous titles, but it still provides hardcore battles and combats with so many new tactics and mechanics that will keep you going more seriously after each failure.

In other news, director of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has talked about his intention to develop a game like Red Dead Redemption 2, which you can read here.
