Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Reached The Most Cocurrent Players on Steam Among Titles of 2019

From Software is always known for developing hardcore games and it’s new title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is another proof to this claim that will take you to a deadly journey during Sengoku era in Japan, where you are tasked as a Shinobi to save your lord from getting killed.

Today, it’s revealed that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice owns the record for the most cocurrent players at launch among all the games that have been released in 2019. It’s reached 108K cocurrent players on steam, surpassing 89K players of Devil May Cry 5 and 74K players of Resident Evil 2 in their own launch days. So, it seems at least PC gamers have no fear to encounter with tough moments, hardcore boss-fights and die-hard monstrous generals in snowy mountains of Japan.

Although Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice beat all of the games that has released so far, it couldn’t break the record of Dark Souls 3, which reached 129K cocurrent players. If we expand borders of the comparison to all the Japanese games that has been published on Steam in the whole history, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the third best, with Gold medal going to Monster Hunter World.

Aside from sales, Sekiro has also received great reviews, reaching the Metascore of 90 with 19 reviews so far. For more details on Sekiro, wait for our upcoming review in the following days and don’t forget to check out Gaming Instincts for reading daily news and other featured articles.
