Shadows Die Twice – Info Leak (A New IP)
More crazy leaks coming in and it looks like an insider from ResetEra (Who’s been verified by the Admin and goes by the name OmniPotent) apparently has the scoop on what the next project From Software is working on and where the game is set. First, we’re going to talk about the obvious – Shadow Die Twice is NOT Bloodborne 2. Here are the details about From Software’s next project in a nutshell and what we’ve been told so far thanks to OmniPotent. Make sure to start reading from Page 49 and beyond to get the full scoop, but here is the quick version of it for those need the information.
- Shadows Die Twice is NOT Bloodborne 2
- This is From Software’s new IP Project
- From Software has 2 other projects in the works (A Dark Fantasy game and a reboot/remake most likely to be Armored Core)
- Bloodborne 2 is NOT in development
- It’s a game where you have to go in with an open mind
- Horror-themed
- Multiplatform
- Has a possibility of being at the Microsoft E3 2018 Briefing Press Event (Dark Souls 3 debuted at the Microsoft stage in 2015, so this is not out of reality.)
- From Software is going to go big for Shadows Die Twice at E3 – their main focus.
At this point, we have nothing left to do but just wait and speculate and see where all of this goes. But if you really think about it, it makes complete sense because Hidetaka Miyazaki clearly stated multiple times in the past that they’re done with the Soulsborne games and want to take a break. Perhaps Bloodborne 2 or a game with that kind of gameplay might be a far future PlayStation 5 project/Next-Gen while the souls’s takes a break. For those who have hoped for Bloodborne 2, lay your souls and blood to rest and accept the fact that it’s time that we take a break. I myself a huge Soulsborne fan and Bloodborne was one of my games of the generation alongside God of War and Super Mario Oddysee. I think a new IP and a fresh idea is a good thing as a whole for the industry and most importantly From Software. It’s been a fun time.
