Check out the Kickstarter trailer of Shakes & Fidget – The Adventure, featuring a cinematic video:
“Can large-scale adventures still be successful in 2017? To answer this question, developers KING Art (The Book of Unwritten Tales) and Playa Games (Shakes & Fidget) have joined forces. Together, they want to develop a wonderfully wacky adventure game. A campaign on Kickstarter will show whether there are still enough fans out there for such a project.
“Against the industry trend, we want to create a comprehensive classic adventure game,” says Jan Theysen, Creative Director at KING Art. “We are banking on players who want to experience a lively adventure scene. With sufficient support from our backers, we are ready to play our part!”
What‘s this about?
Shakes & Fidget – The Adventure is a classic point-and-click adventure in the best Day of the Tentacle or Monkey Island style: crazy characters, funny dialogues, absurd but comprehensible puzzles, and innumerable allusions to the fantasy genre are waiting for the players. The adventure comes in Shakes & Fidget’s unique comic-strip graphics by Marvin Clifford and features more than fifty locations, dozens of characters and monsters, its own soundtrack and top-notch dubbing.
What can you expect?
After a successful campaign, Shakes & Fidget – The Adventure will be released at the end of 2018. Backers can not only look forward to a brand-new point-and-click adventure, unique rewards are also on offer. From figures to an artbook to a pin-up calendar with lots of naked gnome skin (!): nothing is impossible in the crazy universe of Shakes & Fidget. Or how about being drawn by Marvin Clifford and immortalized as a character in the game?”
