In a recent announcement from publishers Deep Silver, it appears as though there’s still more to do with the upcoming release for the long-awaited release, Shenmue III. Originally planned for a late August release, it now seems as though the developers need more time to “deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve.”
The third mainline installment will provide the anticipated return of the iconic Sega Dreamcast title for the first time in nearly twenty years. While fans of the series were treated to a remastering collection of the first two titles almost one year ago, it wasn’t the follow up title many fans have been craving.
The new title in the series will continue the epic revenge tale of the martial arts teen. There’s still going to be plenty of random activities the series is best known for, along with engaging martial arts battle sequences and a world ripe with exploration.
Shenmue III has been pushed back to release for extra polish on November 19, 2019 for the PS4 and PC. While the game’s development is said to be nearly complete, the delay will help create a classic Shenmue experience for the fans.
