Vice President of Online Content at Skybound Games, Brian Huntingdon revealed on Reddit that Skybound Games has “no plans” for a Season five of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. The official statement was needed as in the recent weeks it was being rumored that The Walking Dead: A Fatal Frontier was in development.
Huntingdon suggest the the complicated situation of taking over the development of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, after the studio closure is one of the reasons of Skybound to not revisit the franchise in the near future. Telltale had an unique way of producing games, and the smaller Skybound Games had to continue the development.
I never say never in these parts, but how close can you get to zero? Especially in these crazy times, very unlikely. Taking over development to finish Season 4 was crazy, especially for us since we’re not a development house.
Skybound Games did also made an official statement on the IP for the disappointment of fans.
