Sniper Elite is one of the long-running third person shooter franchises that always has had some new ideas to distinguish itself from other shooters. At the top it’s notable mechanics, nobody can forget Kill-cam, which makes you enjoy every kill that you get in the game.
The last entry of the series, Sniper Elite 4, received positive reviews and became the best title in the franchise from this point of view. However, Sniper Elite 4 was an end to the series in 8th generation, as the next title of the franchise will be released for next-gen consoles and it’s development has already begun.
According to a press release by Rebellion, Sniper Elite 5 is under development but there will be no new information on the game until 2020, which clearly means that it will hit 9th generation.
Along with teasing Sniper Elite 5, Rebellion also pointed to a VR game within the series that is being developed by the British studio Just Add Water. On the other hand, Rebellion has announced Sniper Elite V2 Remastered and Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition being available for Nintendo Switch in the near future.
