Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 For PS5 Delayed

CI Games announced that the PlayStation 5 version of Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has been delayed. The PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC version of the game will launch on June 4.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will launch “later in 2021” due to “unforeseen technical issues discovered in the weeks leading up to launch.”

As an apology for the PlayStation 5 users, CI Games will provide the first major DLC free of charge to players across all versions. Additionally, both the physical and digital PS4 versions include a free digital upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version. The PS5 version of the game will feature 4K resolution, faster loading times, and enhanced textures.

“We could not have foreseen these issues,” Said Tobias Hessuner in a press release “However, we would like to assure our players that our highly experienced, professional, and dedicated team are working hard with the platform holder and engine provider to resolve the problems as soon as feasibly possible, to ensure we can bring the PlayStation 5 community the high caliber sniping game they have been waiting for. We will offer a free digital upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version with all physical and digital purchases of the PlayStation 4 release.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 features five distinct maps that can be approached however a player wishes. Realistic weapons and gadgets are unlocked throughout the campaign, whilst upgrade points can be used to obtain and upgrade skills to create a custom playstyle. As players expand their arsenals and improve their skills, they can revisit each contract with different approaches to collect more rewards.

The game tells the story of a brutal dictatorship, led by President Omar Al-Bakr and his wife, Bibi Rashida, has controlled the region for over 20 years; their reign must now be stopped. With intel from Control, players take on the role of Raven, executing contracts across all-new locations in an attempt to topple this insidious criminal organization and bring them to justice.
