In a recent statement posted on the official Sonic the Hedgehog account, SEGA announced that Sonic Generations will be delisted from several online stores on September 9. However, the game will still be available via bundles of other sonic titles on Steam and Xbox. This will notably be done prior to the release of the upcoming remaster Sonic X Shadow Generations. Existing owners of the title will also still be able to download and play the game. The new bundle is called the Sonic the Hedgehog Legacy Bundle, and will include several classic Sonic games for $59.99. Sonic X Shadow Generations, will launch on October 22 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Therefore, Sonic Generations will still be available via bundles of other iconic Sonic titles on Steam and Xbox. Existing owners of the title will still be able to download and play, as well. Lastly, we are happy to confirm that mods on the Steam version will NOT be affected!
