Many began to wonder what Sony was up to upon their announcement of skipping this year’s E3 event – the first time the company has ever done so. Well, in an announcement from PlayStation Blog, it appears there’s at least one showcase they’ve had cooking, and it’s called State of Play.
The video showcase will focus on the latest PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR software, including showing off new trailers, feeding fans new gameplay footage for upcoming games, and even better, surprising us with new game announcements. The showcase is set to debut this Monday March 25, 2019 at 2:00PM PST/5:00PM EST.
The blog goes on to continue stating the new PlayStation focused showcase will return throughout the year. From the sound of it, this new showcase looks to be similar to what Nintendo does with their Nintendo Direct showcases.
Be sure to tune in Monday on any of PlayStation’s social channels, such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or Twitter to catch the latest news coming out of PlayStation. Or, stay tuned here for post-showcase updates on what Sony delivered in their very first State of Play episode.
