According to reports, Sony hosted today a corporate strategy meeting in Japan, President and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida announced that PlayStation is ready to reveal ” A compelling PS5 games line-up soon”. Yoshida affirms that PlayStation’s DualSense, and 3D Audio will mark the difference in the games developed for the Japanese console.
“Games for the PS5 that deliver this new game experience are being made by both first and third-party developers and we plan to introduce a compelling line-up of titles soon,” Yoshida said. He also takes the opportunity to shortly brief attendees to the impact of COVID-19 in the recent weeks. He states that ““major problems have not arisen in the game software development pipeline for Sony’s own first-party studios or its partners’ studios”.
The difference in marketing strategy from Microsoft and Sony has been remarkable, this led and analyst from Merill Lynch to ask Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki, how the marketing campaign of Sony compares to Microsoft’s, the analyst inquires Yoshida for more information and to add “a passing grade” of what have been done at Sony.

Sony started their marketing campaign late, but the company has been making small announcements in the last weeks, all that adds more to the hype that fans have to the next gen PlayStation. Fans already saw what the PlayStation 5 is capable of, but the console is still left to be unveiled, but is expected to be revealed in early June, at Summer Game Fest.
