The year 2019 finished off with a bang thanks to the reveal of next-gen titles such as Godfall for the PS5 and Hellblade 2 for the new generation Xbox system Xbox Series X at the Video Game Awards earlier this month on December 12th.
We’re only 2 days away from the biggest year in gaming yet, the year 2020 the year where gamers will finally dive into the games of their dreams such as Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Half-Life: Alyx, Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk and many more. However, none of us can forget the inevitable hardware launch of next-generation systems that will arriving in less than a year’s time now sometime in the Holiday of 2020 the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X.
With that being said, it seems that Sony might be up to something as they put up a small teaser on their official website in regards to the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) that will be happening in about a week’s time. Here is the direct quote from Sony regarding this matter – Source
“The future is coming. At CES 2020 Sony is unveiling a unique vision of the future, bringing creativity and technology together like never before, to unleash new sensations and emotions.”
While it’s not 100% confirmed this is referring to the PlayStation 5 keynote the wording is rather odd and quite suggestive and most importantly almost exactly the same back in 2013 when Sony was teasing the PlayStation 4 on twitter. Here is the old tweet for the comparison –

While the CES teaser doesn’t actually mention the PlayStation it does say “The future is coming” which is exactly the same wording they used for the PlayStation 4 just a bit differently phrase “See the future” but in actuality it all really seems to suggest the same thing. Does this mean the video game world will finally witness the PS5 reveal before their very eyes, or is this just a bunch of nonsense and Sony is really just teasing their next line up on super expensive TVs? We will find out on January 6th, 2020. Stay tuned to Gaming Instincts for the latest updates.
