Sony’s Collaboration With Microsoft Concerned Its Game Division Employees

We didn’t forget the time when Microsoft and Nintendo are consisting on extending the cross-play feature through all platforms, while Sony was showing no intention to follow the decision. But now, that selfish Sony is teaming up with its number one enemy in gaming industry to work on cloud gaming and streaming for the next gen.

The news was shocking enough to make every one read the title once again. Nobody expected to see a collaboration between the blue team and the green team, especially right on the edge of announcing next-gen consoles. If Sony and Microsoft don’t want to lose cloud gaming competition to Stadia, they have to work together at first, so in my opnion they are exactly on the right track, but the long-running rivalry between the two, has never seemed to lead into such a partnering.

Not only us as media and consumers of the industry, but also Sony’s own workers and employees got shocked by the news in a way that it concerned them about their future plans for PS5 and other gaming services, though the management team has assured them there will be no change in planned roadmap of the company.

According to a report from Bloomberg, talks between Microsoft and Sony started last year, while it was going on by the senior management of Japanese company in Tokyo and PlayStation division was also aware of that. However, with the official announcement of the partnering contract between the two giant in gaming industry, some of the employees at Sony PlayStation were caught off-guard by it, but managers promised that former plans won’t affected by the decision.

With this collaboration, Sony will surely host much better quality services in terms of streaming, online playing and other cloud-using features. On the other hand, Microsoft establishes a new earning entry for itself and also makes his most dangerous rival to be dependent to its services. On top of these, they also start a probably long-lasting fight against Google’s Stadia.
