Square Enix revealed today that its previously teased Dramatic RPG Kamitsuri is a smartphone game that will arrive on iOS and Android devices this summer. The game is a fantasy puzzle game that uses Japanese folklore as a motif.
While not much is currently known about the gameplay of Kamitsuri (which roughly translates to “god fishing), you can get a glimpse of it in the recent trailer that shows off a bit of its spiritual fishing. The story is said to be about the waves (light) and the calm (darkness) that interweaves countless gods in a dramatic RPG.
The trailer dont show a complex gameplay, the graphics look pretty amazing (it reminds me of wind waker somehow) and the music sounds pretty cool too.
Pre-registration is now available at the official website.
Dramatic RPG Kamitsuri will also receive its own manga via the manga smartphone app, Manga One.
Kamitsuri will launch in Japan this summer for Android and iPhone.
Check out the Trailer:
“The game follows Nami and a group of companions as they embark on a trip to rescue Nami’s younger twin sister Nagi after Nagi is kidnapped. The game will be free to play but in-game items will cost extra.”
