During the Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2019, Square Enix revealed that players will be able to try out the upcoming Switch version of the game with a new demo releasing soon. The demo will allow players who create a save data for the game to be rewarded with a Skill Seed – an item that offers up skill points to be used on characters in your party – when booting up the full game.
The demo will also have an additional bonus “The One Descended from Erdrick”card for the Switch version of the free-to-play Dragon Quest card game, Dragon Quest Rivals. Square Enix also announced that players will be able to travel to a previous Dragon Quest world featured in Dragon Quest X in the upcoming Definitive Edition of the game.
Square Enix has not yet announced a release date for the announced demo for the game. Dragon Quest XI S is set to release on the Switch worldwide on September 27, 2019.
