“Chris Roberts” Cloud Imperium Games just revealed a new Star Citizen starship, the Anvil A4A Hurricane.
Described as a “fighting spacecraft that packs a deadly punch into a slight fuselage the Anvil A4A hurricane is a particularly interesting starship, because it trades off protection and comfort for extremely heavy weaponry, carrying six KBAR 11-Series Broadsword cannons and four FSKI Ignite missiles in its standard configuration.
Check these screenshots and artwork of the Hurricane down below:
“That means that it’s not a ship for newbies. It’s made for pilots able to deliver their payload on target quickly and precisely, and then make themselves scarce as fast as possible, before the enemy can retailiate.
The ship will be flight-ready later this year, but can already be purchased here. Keep in mind, though that early ship purchases have the sole purpose of supporting the game’s development. You actually don’t need to buy any of them, because all ships will be available for in-game currency after Star Citizen launches.
In the interest of full disclosure, the author of this article is one of those backers, proudly grown on Wing Commander and enjoying every moment of the alpha.”
