During the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced the release date for Star Fox Zero, the game is set for release on April 22 2016. Originally the game had a December release date, however Nintendo decided to delay the game for 2016 as it wanted more time to polish the game and also to add more to the 2016 catalog of games for the Wii U.
Check out the new trailer that was featured on the Nintendo Direct:
I dearly hope that part of the reason that they decided to delay the game is to add a multiplayer feature to the game, it would certainly be amazing if they at least add 4 player co-op to the main campaign and more levels and bosses as DLC but knowing Nintendo and their decision-making, that is highly unlikely but here is the hoping that they decide to do the right thing with this franchise that has so much untapped potential.
“Star Fox Zero delivers a new beginning for the classic shooter series. With a unique control scheme that uses both the TV screen and the screen on the Gamepad, players pilot multiple vehicles through intergalactic levels with Fox and his classic crew. The game launches exclusively for Wii U on April 22.”
