Star Fox Zero ‘The Battle Begins’ Animated Short

Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard are launching April 22 and Nintendo is starting launch week with the announcement of an animated short called Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins. The short is produced in collaboration with the director Shigeru Miyamoto, and Production IG and WIT Studios.

Anime fans may be familiar with WIT Studios and the popular Attack on Titan series and Production IG, which has an impressive list of anime that it’s involved in including Evangelion and Fullmetal Alchemist.

The animated short will premiere  at 6 p.m. on April 20 at the official Nintendo websiteand will be followed by a special Nintendo Treehouse that will demo both Star Fox Zeroand Star Fox Guard.

“Zero is the first console game in the series since 2005’s Star Fox Assault on GameCube. Retail copies of the game will come with Guard, last seen at E3 2014 as Project Guardpacked in; the digital version of Star Fox Guard can also be purchased separately.”
