Star Wars: Republic Commando is now coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game was released in 2005 for PC and was ported to Xbox One in 2018.
Lucas Film Games handled the development of the port to Aspyr Media, the game will launch on April 6 and will cost $14.99 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The new port will feature a single-player only experience with new controls. The game has seen 16 solid years of popularity among the Star Wars community.
Aspyr Media are the ‘masters of the remasters’ their catalog of games include Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, developed in 2018 for Mac, Linux, iOS, and Nintendo Switch, Layers of Fear, Observer, and re-releases of Lucas Arts Games’ titles: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
Stars Wars: Republic Commando takes players on the lead of the Republic’s Delta Squad as clone trooper Delta-38, directing teammates Sev, Scorch, and Fixer, with tactical maneuvers like hacking locked doors, set sniper positions, and breach-and-clear.
